Imperial Winter Ball
The 2024 Imperial Winter Ball will be held,
on the 9th of March at 6.45 o’clock pm, at the Caledonian Club
INTRODUCTION TO THE BALL
The whirl and rustle of ball-gowns as couples dance to a Viennese waltz; the sparkle of jewels at the candle-lit tables; the elegant gallantry of gentlemen dressed in the Imperial uniforms of long-lost Empires – take a few dance steps back in time to the Nineteenth Century for a special night of perfectly poised etiquette, sumptuous attire and the most beautiful ballroom dances.
You will dance to the British Imperial Orchestra conducted by Lt. Col. Graham Jones MBE, former Head of Music for the British Army and Director of Music at the Coldstream Guards. Under his baton the Ballroom of the Caledonian Club, Belgravia, London, comes alive with the sound of Old Europe’s favourite waltzes, polkas and schottisches.
The celebrated Mrs. Bennet will step from the hallowed precincts of Jane Austen’s Bath Assembly Rooms to lead the company in the most fashionable, entertaining and elegant dances of the period.
We invite our guests to enjoy an evening of good company, good food and marvellous entertainment all in aid of an extremely Good Cause indeed. For more than two decades, The Imperial Winter Ball has raised awareness as well as significant sums of money for the Children’s Burns Trust, a charity which is solely focused on the prevention of burns to children, and their rehabilitation and support when injured.
We invite you to join us to support so worthy a cause in such an enjoyable way.
